Home Remedies to Cure Pregnancy Related Back Ache

Back pain is synonymous with pregnancy. Almost every pregnant woman will complain of back pain starting from the second trimester and it only gets worst with time. This happens because of the weight increase that your body is unable to maintain. Also, when your tummy begins to show; your posture automatically changes and leads to causing the ache.

A simple thing that you can do to avoid this pain is to maintain a good posture. I know it is easier said than done. But everytime you find yourself slouching or standing with  a bad posture, you must remind yourself that this is going to cost you later in  the day and you must straighten up.

Forget wearing high heel shoes for a few months to take care of the pain that you will be suffering from if you do.

Always sit and sleep with your legs elevated. This helps the blood to flow evenly across your body and prevent the aches and pains at the end of the day. Stretching and laying on your back and air cycling helps to ease the pain.

Use a heat compression on your back at night. It definitely helps to ease the discomfort that you may be in. On the other hand you can also try using an ice pack that may put you at ease. Apply either hot or cold compressions for not more than 15 minutes to ease the pain and reduce swelling on your back and feet.

Walking for 15 minutes to half an hour will reduce any discomfort that you may be in. Walking outdoors exposes you to fresh smells and nature. The colors and fragrances automatically lift your mood and reduce pain that you may be experiencing.

Use aromatic oils like lavender and rose in your bath water. They help to cure any aches and pains that you may experience .Just add a few drops to the water and soak in it for a few minutes. The aromatic oils are known to relieve stress and cure pains. They will work wonders on your back.
