Scabies is a skin rash or infection that spreads rapidly. The parasites go into the layers of your skin and lay eggs. When these eggs hatch the infection spreads. It can spread rapidly within a few days. The rash must be treated quickly to avoid it spreading through out the body. It looks like fine lines that may turn red. It normally forms on the webs of fingers and toes, insides of fingers and toes, underarms and knees and elbows.

Bitter gourd is extremely effective in curing the infection. Juice a few pieces of the bitter gourd to make a cup of juice. Refrigerate the juice. A spoonful of the juice must be mixed with a few drops of lime juice and taken once a day for a month. Double the amount if they it is being taken by an adult.
Aloe Vera juice works in the same manner as the bitter gourd. In this case the Aloe Vera extracts can be used topically as well to sooth the skin. Do this to prevent itching and spreading of the rash.
Apricot leaves have also proved to be extremely effective. Grind the leaves to make a paste. Mix a few drops of water, honey and lemon juice and add apply this mixture on the affected area. It works best if it is kept over night. Wash of the paste in the morning with ice cold water or cold milk.
In addition to the above home remedies the person must be given medical attention as well. While taking prescriptive medicines for scabies; one must follow a strict diet. Avoid all kinds of red meats; eat a diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables. Drink fresh fruit juices like oranges, pineapples and grapes.
