Home Remedies to Prevent Scars after an Acne Breakout

The worst thing about acne is the scars that it leaves behind. If you already have scars on your face then there are a few things that you can do to reduce the effect on your face. On the other hand prevention is better than cure and you must take care to avoid scarring as far as possible.

The best thing you can do for your skin is to avoid using layers of product on it and let in breathe. Your skin may be reacting to a product or several products that you may have tried and tested and hence the best thing you can do is to avoid layering and letting it breath.

If your acne breakout is extremely harsh then you must consult a skin care specialist and have the issue rectified.

Use an anti bacterial soap and cleanse your skin from within and keep it clear of dirt and pollution that you are exposed to.

Avoid exposing your skin to direct sunlight as the UV rays from the sun affect your skin and cause tans, age spots, freckles and scars.

Apply Aloe Vera gel or the extract onto your affected skin. Since it is a natural product you do not need to fear scarring in any way. If you have an Aloe Vera plant at home all you need to do is break a leave of it and extract the gel and add it to the affected skin. The gel will help the skin to heal and avoid scars from forming on your skin.

Rub a raw potato on your skin. It acts as a natural bleach and takes care of the spots and scars on your skin; especially your face. Doing this everyday will lead to a healthy glow on your skin.

After the acne has healed, rub the juice of a lemon on your skin. The lemon helps to heal any scars that may be left after the acne breakout.
