Eucalyptus oil is one of the most widely used essential oils in aromatherapy. It is known to cure a variety of ailments and in beneficial to both the physical as well as the mental health.

Eucalyptus oil is known for its anti bacterial properties. It can be used as a deodorant to take care of odor related problems. It has a pungent aroma and to sweeten it add a few drops of lavender oil to it. When mixed with witch hazel cats as a perfect anti bacterial deodorant.

When suffering from a cough, common cold or congestion in the chest, you must use eucalyptus as massage oil on your back, temples, neck, chest and forehead. If the mucus is thick and you are unable to get rid of it then you must add a few drops of the oil to the water and let the steam and vapors come onto your face. This helps to make the mucus thin within seconds.

If you are prone to mosquito bites or you are in an area that is infested with insects then you must blend eucalyptus oil with witch hazel and any other massage oil to act ass a base. Massage the blend onto your body for a natural insect repellant.

Eucalyptus oil can also help to reduce stress levels and have a calming effect on you. Simply blend it with lavender oil and massage it onto your temples and forehead for an instant change in moods.
