For those of us who constantly struggle to maintain our positivity; there are several tips and tricks that you could try out.
Firstly you must start with writing a gratitude journal. It is just a way of reminding yourself of all the great things that have taken place in your life. This is one of the most effective ways for you to realize your blessings and will improve your outlook. Use a loose leaf paper so that you can tear off the paper and keep them around the house in order to serve as a constant reminder of your blessings. Once you come to terms with the fact that you have a lot to be thankful for you will automatically live a positive life. This in turn will help you to be healthy and life a longer more fulfilling life.
Once you accept all the things that are positive and negative in your life you are also able to work out a way to take care of your stress. It empowers you to take a decision and make a choice on how you react to the situation on hand.
In cases where you feel an extreme surge of emotions and are unable to handle the stress; you can keep yourself going by looking back into the journal and realizing all things that you are grateful for. If you are the kind of person that is unable to find anything to be thankful for then you must start by thanking people for the tiny things that they do for you. Start with the doorman who opens the door for you, return the gesture with a smile and thank him for his services. Think of the trouble that he goes through by standing all day long and opening the door for people and compare that with the comfort in your life. In this way you will be able to identify many small things in your life that you can be extremely grateful for and you will automatically realize that there is plenty that you have to be thankful for.
By knowing this you will live a more fruitful and satisfied life. The thought of you having a lot to be grateful for will keep you healthy and happy; you will also notice a smile on your face more often.
