Tea is the most loved and common drink in the world. It is only the second most consumed drink after water. Tea is also popular as wonder drug of nature because of its natural foundation of theanine and methylxanthines. Tea does not come with the burdens of protein, carbohydrates and fat.

Tea can be consumed in several forms such as white tea, green tea, black tea, red tea, herbal tea and oolong. The presence of polyphenol properties in tea can lower the chances of severe cancer possibilities like skin cancer, esophageal cancer or gastric cancer. Ovarian cancer, which is so frequent among women, can be avoided by just having two cups of tea everyday. Thus, drinking tea can provide several benefits. Some of the major health benefits of tea are given below:

Green Tea
Green tea is beneficial in several ways. Its antioxidant ingredients can provide protection against cancer and heart ailments. It also helps in the prevention of different types of allergies such as dust, pet dander or pollen. Consuming green tea also helps the patients of arthritis. It decreases inflammation and slow the process of cartilage breakdown.

Good Skin
Consuming oolong helps to reduce aging marks and wrinkles. Researchers have proved that oolong can make you look young as it protects the skin from age spots, marks and wrinkles.

Heart Ailments
Consumption of tea, especially black tea can fight the risk of heart ailments. Drinking tea avoids formation of clots and clumps. This is definitely one of the major medical benefits of tea.

Strong Bones
It is a proven fact by the researchers that bone-mineral density of those who drink tea on a regular basis is higher than those who do not. Having tea for a period of ten years, result in stronger bones among us. The impact is better if green tea or oolong tea is consumed.

Reduce Weight
Tea is also helpful in reducing weight. Though the result should not be expected just by consuming tea, exercising is a must. Continue your healthy diet chart and work-out sessions along with regular tea consumption to reduce weight.
