Lemon, which proves to be effective in most cures can be used to cure corns also. One such treatment  involves the slicing of lemon and placing the pieces overnight on the corns by tying a cloth above them. These can be removed in the morning and cleaned with a disinfectant. One other effective treatment involves  extracting the juice of lemon and making a paste with brewer’s yeast. Applying this paste on the corn overnight proves to be a very effective remedy.

There are various herbal methods to treat corns. One such remedy involves using the juice prepared out of  the herb dandelion and applying it on corns overnight. It proves to be very soothing and can be easily washed out in the morning. Indian squill, a herb proves very effective when it is tied as a bandage over the affected area. The herb should be kept as a bandage
overnight.

In addition fruits and vegetables can also be used to treat corns. The juice of raw papaya can be applied over the affected area about three times a day to give relief. Besides, the milky juice of green figs can prove to be a very effective remedy for corn and can also help avoid recurrences.

A few slices of onion can be placed on corns and bandaged and kept overnight. It  can easily be removed in the morning with a healing effect. Another permanent remedy to cure corns is tying corns with pineapple peels and leaving them overnight.

Besides another soothing and pain relieving method is  to boil oatmeal in water for 5 minutes. This can be strained and applied on the foot. A paste of chalk  powder and water applied on the affected part left  overnight and washed in the morning also helps a lot in treating corns. Vinegar proves an effective remedy too. Ivy leaves are soaked in vinegar overnight.

Then a piece of bread can be applied on it and kept  throughout the day. A fresh bandage can be applied in the night. One more good remedy to cure corns is to apply cotton wool dipped in vinegar. The corn will soften and can then be rubbed with pumice stone.

Diet too plays an important role in the treatment of  corns. So one should make sure to eat a light , nutritious diet and also consume food high in vitamins and minerals. To conclude one can make sure to avoid and treat corns by taking some of these herbal, natural and home remedial steps.
