How to Avoid Pimples

People with oily skin are prone to pimples and the pimples can indicate the presences of acne; a chronic skin care disease. Although most people only get pimples and acne during their teen years; a few unfortunate cases have witnessed the eruption even during later years and some even in their forties.

The most important thing is to keep your skin clean and wash off the oily discharges in your face regularly. Use a face wash that is made especially for oily sin or for acne prone skin. Never rub the towel on your face but pat dry. Resist the urge to pluck and poke at the bumps on your face. Doing this will cause the infection to spread and will also cause scarring in the future.

Keep in mind that acne takes a few weeks to clear up so if you are trying out certain products then do not jump from one to the other if you do not see any improvement in a few days. Also, do not try several products at the same time. Give your products time to react with your skin.

Use a face mask every night. This mask will soak in the oils from your skin and reduce the redness on your face. Wash with cold water or milk before going to sleep. Ideally, this should be the last thing you do before you sleep.

Watch your diet closely. Fried foods and junk foods are high in oil and add to your agony. The ideal thing for you to do would be eliminate oil completely till the breakout settles down. Spicy food should be reduced, do not drink colas. Drink a lot of water and fresh fruit juices. Sports drinks hydrate you as well and help to flush out unnecessary toxins.

Keep in mind not to use the same tissue that you wipe your mouth with after dinner on your face. The oils from your food directly get deposited on your face in this process.

Stress may also be a cause of breakouts, so try and eliminate stressors from your life as far as possible.
