How to Boost your Metabolism to Help you to Lose Weight

Weight watchers are keen on knowing how to shed their pounds. Some loose weight with ease or do not gain weight no matter what they eat on the other hand few gain weight at the sight or smell of food.

Ok, now that’s exaggerating but the point I am making here is that the key to gaining weight is not only in the food you eat or how much you exercise but in how you master your metabolism. The more it works, the more you stand to lose. While some have the genetic make up to have a fast working metabolism that burns their foods, others need to work a little on it to get to where they want to be on the weighing scale.

The best way to maintain your weight is to eat healthy meals. Starting with breakfast, it is indeed the most important day of the week. Eating food in the morning after a long rest helps your body to get energized. The point is to get started on the eating to get your body to start burning calories. This boosts your metabolism by at least 15 %. If you skip this meal then you end up eating more food during the day that may not be as nutritious or healthy. You need not have a heavy breakfast, simply grab a fruit or a juice and you will get your body started on its chores.

Avoid binging at lunch and dinner, instead eat several smaller meals. This keeps your metabolism working throughout the day. The more frequently you plan your meals the hungrier you will get. Plan your meals every 4 to 5 hours. Normally you would plan breakfast followed by a snack, lunch then snack, dinner then snack. In this way you are eating more often yet smaller portions to ensure that your metabolism is working to burn all your food. It is better to eat at regular intervals rather than eating only breakfast lunch and dinner like you have never eaten food before. This will not help in any way.
