How to Care for Your Skin and your Face

No matter what skin type you may be, it is important for you to take care of your skin and have a regular routine. The basic care should be something that is second nature to you as the care that you take will show results in the future. You may have access to the best cosmetics in the world; but basic skin care is not about a label or brand or the amount you spend on these cosmetics; it is about caring for your skin in simple steps. A simple cleansing, toning and moisturizing helps to take care of your skin and keep it youthful.

You must start with washing your face regularly. Clean your face with a oil free face wash or a soap that suits your skin type. This helps to take care of eliminating dirt and pollution from deep within your pores. Always wash with warm water to get rid of the bacteria and then splash your face with cold water for the last few rinses to revive your skin.

The next important step is toning. Most beauty regimes consider toning your skin an option; however I have noted a huge difference in those that actually do indulge in this step. If your skin is oily; then I recommend an alcohol based toner else choose one that suits your skin type.

Moisturizing your skin after you have cleaned it is very essential. This helps to add moisture to your skin. Choose an oil free moisturizer if you have oily skin; hence use one that suits your skin type. Avoid pulling and tugging your skin when you are moisturizing your skin in order to avoid damaging your skin.

In addition to this daily regime, you must use an exfoliating scrub once or twice a week, this helps to eliminate the dead skin cells from your face. Steam your face occasionally to cleanse from deep within your pores. This helps to make your face look cleaner.

Use a deep conditioning face mask once a week to help to add youthfulness to your face. Facial masks are normally formulated to cleanse your skin or give it a natural boost.

If you suffer from dark circles; then getting adequate sleep and drinking plenty of water to hydrate your skin is a must. In addition to this you must also use Aloe Vera plant extract under your eyes and a night cream that helps to reduce puffiness and dark circles.

For acne prone skin; slather tea tree oil on your skin every night to get rid of the zits and pimples. In addition use tea tree products as far as possible.
