Winter is my favorite season of the year. It brings a certain kind of happiness and with the onset of the holiday season one can’t help but try to look their best. During the colder months of the year your skin begins to get dry and flaky and this makes it look dull and unhealthy. It is important to moisturize your skin during this season because if you don’t then you may risk your skin getting cracked and becoming sensitive.

Nourishing your skin during this season is vital in order to look radiant. You need to change your skin care regime in order to suit the season. During this season your skin will become delicate and sensitive. In order to prevent damaging your skin you must avoid exfoliating your skin and use gentle cleansing products instead. Avoid using a toner to clean your skin.

Milk is the best cleansing agent during the winter season. Dip a ball of cotton in cold milk and rub this on your face. This will not only help you to clean your skin it will moisturize it at the same time. You can clean your skin in this manner 3 to 4 times a day.

You must use a good moisturizer at night. A cream with an almond base is excellent and works wonders on your skin during the winter season. You could also use Aloe Vera gel as it helps to moisturize and nourish the skin. Use a moisturizing lotion on your body twice a day; this will lock in moisture in your skin and prevent flaky skin and dry patches.

During the cold months your lips will crack and this leads can lead to bleeding if you do not take care of it. Use a lip balm on your lips and avoid licking your lips in order to hydrate them. The lip balm will protect your lips from sunburn and cracking due to dry winds. There are several cosmetic lip balms that come in a variety of flavors so you can choose your favorite flavor and slather it on your lips. At night you must slather on a thick layer of butter on your lips; this will make your lips soft.

Cover yourself up the best way you can. Keep your hands and feet well protected by using thick gloves and socks. Reapply moisturizing lotion on your hands every time you wash your hands or immerse them in water.
