Our shoes play a vital role in our health. We stand on our feet for several hours of the day and hence being in the right kind of footwear during these hours is vital. We perform several tasks during the day. At home we are busy with our chores, at the office we have our presentations and then there is exercise to take care off. For each of these we require different footwear to ensure the safety of our health.
Wearing improper footwear or ill fitted footwear can lead to cuts and bruises on the soles of your feet, cramps and leg pain, back aches and bad posture. It is important to choose the right shoes to avoid these issues. Also avoid exposing your feet to too much sun or water. When at the beach it is obvious that you should not wear closed footwear. It is also important that you do not put wet feet into your shoes or wear shoes that are wet.
Tips to watch for when you are choosing your footwear
-You must know the right size of your foot. Wearing a size smaller or larger can lead to serious foot problems like your foot rubbing against the shoe to cause blisters.
-Note the special characteristics of your foot like flat feet or the arches of your feet. Also note the length of your toes when you are buying shoes. If your toes are getting squashed when you are trying to fit your feet into your shoes then they are not the right size.
-Pointed shoes are particularly difficult on the toes and cause a lot of pain and red skin when you remove your feet. Avoid wearing them for long time.
-Always buy shoes that are light in weight, you do not want to carry any extra unnecessary weight. As far as possible use shoes of a material that will help your feet to breathe.
-The most expensive shoes on the rack are not necessarily the most comfortable or the best for your feet so choose your footwear wisely.
