Many of us may not be able to be healthy and fit due to negative thoughts. We may experience symptoms like body-ache, headache, dizziness; hypertension and even have heart attacks without any apparent physical cause. Some may experience depression and other emotional disorders also. Here are some tips that could help one clear up one’s negative thoughts and be healthy and fit.
Cognitive Therapy helps us to clear up our negative thoughts by recognizing and avoiding these thinking distortions and helps us to lead a good physical and mental healthy. The first of the mental distortion refers to viewing thoughts as altogether bad or altogether good and not in between. For example it is best to clear up depressive negative thoughts of one’s failure and substitute it by thinking that there is always a next time to do it better.
Next do not miss to clear up the negative thoughts of minute failures and view the whole picture of things. Instead of thinking one’s parents hate him/her because one is slow at work it is better to start thinking that one’s parents do love one because one is very helpful and clean in one’s manners.
Next is to clear one’s mind of negative thoughts and think positive to accomplish things. If one is going to attend an important meeting and feels nervous and thinks he will be a laughing stock, it would help to clear up this negative thought is substitute it by the thought that it hardly matters because others may be nervous too.
We all gather negative thoughts assuming we know what others are thinking. We may think that they think ill of us or want to neglect us. But clearing up this negative thought by substituting this by the thought that that the person is very busy and that he has not thought ill or low of us helps to turn healthy and fit. In addition never think you are always in the wrong. It is best one clears those negative feelings and feels good and confident of one to be healthy.
Similarly a thought that everything that happens to us is always bad is wrong. This negative thought makes us feel sick. Instead clearing up a negative thought like how horrible it will be to go to my mother-in-law’s house by the thought it will be fun to enjoy the fruits in their garden will help one to be healthy.
To end, first of all clear off those negative thoughts by reminding oneself of one’s positive aspects and learning to forgive one and others for their mistakes. Then one is bound to be free of mental and physical diseases and can be healthy and fit.
