Andropause unlike menopause is almost completely curable. The main hindrance in curing this disorder is; men are not able to accept it. They take it as a blow to their manhood. This is completely untrue. This problem is just a phase of life which comes in almost every man’s life. It’s best to identify the problem and to cure it in order to lead a healthy life. Andropause is not a disease. It is just a minor problem which needs proper understanding and care. Family support is crucial in reducing the symptoms of Andropause.
Causes which makes Andropause worse includes unhealthy lifestyle, obesity, lack of exercise, smoking, drinking alcohol, poor diet and psychological problems like stress. First step towards cure of this problem is to accept it. Then consult your doctor regarding precautions and medications to be taken. Make healthy lifestyle part of your daily routine. Avoid drinking and smoking. If it’s not possible to quit it completely then try to keep it in moderation. Body shows changes with advancing age. Therefore, jogging and exercising early in the morning helps in keeping mood cheerful throughout the day.
Discuss the problem with the spouse. Better understanding between couples helps in early recovering. Drink sufficient water. Take proper sleep. Eat nutritious diet full of fibers, vitamins, carbohydrates, minerals and proteins. Proper medical checkup from time to time is necessary. Taking prescribed medicines along with healthy lifestyle can help you in leading active life as you always used to do.
