Carbohydrates load on the calories and pounds. In order to prevent weight gain you need to control your carb intake. When you are trying to do this you need to first start with eating a low carb or no carb breakfast. Our body craves carbs as they are sweet and they give us a sudden surge of energy; however this is short lived and hence they load you up with pounds. There are several foods that you can eat in order to prevent loading your body with carbs.

Eggs are a great food option. They are rich in proteins which are good for your body and they contain absolutely no carbohydrates. There are different ways to prepare your eggs so you can eat a different version daily. Try sunny side up, hard boiled, soft boiled, poached or omelets. You may add cheese, sausages, ham and bacon to the eggs along with a few salad leaves and make a healthy sandwich for a breakfast-on-the-go.

Vegetables and fruits for lunch are not a bad food option either. A veggie sandwich minus the dressing is a good breakfast and a healthy way to start the day. Blend a few fruits or vegetables to make a smoothie. This is also a quick but healthy way to start the day minus any signs of carbohydrates.

If you are looking to add a few carbs to your breakfast you can start the day with a handful of nuts. Add them to your morning milk shake or to a salad or sandwich will give you the calories that you need but give you minus the carbs.

All time favorite breakfast always are on the lines of meats like ham, bacon, sausages and chicken. However in your attempt to keep carbs low in your diet you must also keep in mind that you need to watch your fatty intake as well.
