How to Deal With Common Stomach Ailments

Stomach does some key functions in our body like absorption of food and digestion. It includes several important organs such as gall-bladder, intestines, pancreas and liver. It can be said that stomach is doing several vital acts to keep our body healthy and running. Thus, it is obvious that we take good care of our stomach. Everybody experiences common stomach ailments and many of us often ignore these ailments. Generally, the reasons for upset stomach are spicy foods, angst or stress.

Some of the symptoms of such stomach ailments are abdominal cramps, vomiting, lack of appetite, diarrhea, fever, etc. All these factors can lead a common stomach ailment into serious and chronic gastritis. Hence, we must ensure proper care to prevent stomach aches.

Proper Diet
If you experience stomach inflammation, then the first thing you need to do is maintaining appropriate diet. Take lots of fresh juices, fruits and vegetables. Having fiber-content food is good for reducing stomach pains. Avoid fatty, oily and spicy foods to relieve your stomach from ailments.

Herbal Solutions
Herbs such as licorice, ginger and amla are extremely useful for healing common stomach ailments. Licorice gives natural soothing effect to the stomach; ginger helps in proper digestion and reduces pain and nausea-tendencies; and amla’s vitamin C extracts relieves liver and abdominal disorders. Having carom seeds or ajwain with a pinch of rock salt is also very helpful.

Lifestyle
If you are having severe stomach ailments, you must check your lifestyle. Substances such as coffee, tobacco, alcohol and fatty foods cause stomach irritation and lead to chronic gastritis. You have to stop these substances for long time to get your stomach healthy.

In spite of maintaining a good diet chart and healthy lifestyles, if you still experience severe stomach cramps, you should not ignore and visit the doctor immediately.
