
While most forms of therapies and medications are off limits during your pregnancy there are a few natural remedies that you can try to ease you of your pains. While some women are blessed with a natural glow while they are pregnant, most women tend to feel lethargic and burdened by the limitless changes that they are undergoing.
It begins first thing in the morning with morning sickness, to spending the entire day with back pain to stretch marks on your stomach and legs. For all your discomforts you can try out a few aromatherapy oils. Keep in mind that you must do so only if you are fully aware of the uses of the oils else seek professional help as some oils are harmful to pregnant women.
For muscular cramps and leg pain you can use lavender or chamomile oils. Dilute 30 ml of either oils in almond oil and gently massage your feet. Be careful not to exert too much pressure on your pressure points as they can induce labor. Be careful if you are not aware of these pressure points. If your legs are swollen then massage these heat the oils and soak your feet in them. Then immediately soak them in warm water and follow up with cold water.
Pregnancy is a time when you get extremely tired. To get rid of your fatigue use either orange or grapefruit oils in a dispenser and let the room that you sleep in get full of the aroma. You will sleep well with the aromas all around you.
During this period, you will feel heartburn and acidity very often. Use lemon oils on your pillow at night. As you breathe in the aroma all night you will wake up refreshed and without discomfort.
Remember to use aromatic oils during your pregnancy only under the advice of a professional. Certain oils tend to cause harm and they must be avoided completely during your pregnancy and while you are breast feeding.
