What you eat is half the issue; the other half is your attitude towards the food you eat. Monounsaturated fats if consumed in excess could prove to be harmful to your body; however it has its benefits if consumed in the right portions. The oils are found in plant extracts like olives, nuts and avocado. Studies show that they have been helpful in weight loss; however you must do so without changing your calorie intake. A breakfast high in monounsaturated fats helps to burn calories for upto 5 hours after the meal; thus being effective in weight loss and burning belly fats.

This kind of fat has additional benefits. It keeps a watch on your diabetes and reduces the risk of heart diseases. They also help to prevent aging and inflammation. Some of the tips that help you to lose weight without having adverse effects on your health include maintaining your calorie count. Women need 1600 calories daily while men need approximately 400 calories more than women. These calories are sufficient to keep your energy levels high while also attempting to maintain weight and burn excess fats. Each meal must consist of olive oil, nuts and seeds, avocadoes, olives or chocolate.

You must also learn to manage stress. Often we tend to binge when we are stressed out. Binging also happens when we have nothing to do. The best remedy for this is to keep yourself busy. You must indulge in plenty of physical activity in order to keep fit and burn the calories that you have consumed.

If you feel overweight or obese then you must work up the courage to ask for help. There is no shame in doing so. Joining a social support group will help you to get the help that you need. Research has proved that those who have been a part of these groups in the quest to lose weight have been more successful in their quest to lose weight than those that haven’t. If you are not able to join a group personally then you can sign up for one online and get the support that you need.
