Oily skin looks dull and lifeless. It is important that you have a good beauty regime in order to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy. There are several factors that cause the skin to produce excess oils; some of these are menopause, PMS, use of birth control pills, hormonal imbalance, cosmetics, humidity and climatic changes and pregnancy. There are ways to control oily production in each of these factors.
You need to start with washing your face well. Merely slathering on some soap or face wash will not help. Massage the soap onto the skin and let it stay for a few minutes. You must massage in circular movements and pay keen attention to the areas that produce excess oil like your cheeks, nose and forehead. Wash the soap off with cold water. This helps to close the pores that produce the oil. Use a mild soap and do not wash your face for than 3 times a day.
Drink plenty of water in order to get rid of the toxins from your body. This will eliminate the oils as well as the unwanted waste in your system. Getting some exercise daily won’t harm. It will cause you to break into a sweat and eliminate the toxins from your body quicker. In this way you can control the periods that you sweat to only those periods like exercise times and prevent sweating at other times.
Eat foods that are high on Vitamin B. This includes fresh fruits and vegetables, leafy veggies and sprouts. It would be in your best interest to eliminate meats from your diet during the warmer months of the year. In addition to this avoid any foods that are oily, deep fried foods or those that use oils and animals fats. Eat plenty of nuts; they add natural oils to your body.
Get adequate sleep. This will help your condition. Lack of sleep can lead to increased production of oils on the surface of the skin.
Do not load your skin with too many products; this may cause irritation and breakouts. Remember, oily skin is more prone to acne and blackheads so you must be very careful. Use natural products like aloe and clay based products to ease the production of oil. You must also eat plenty of honey and use it in your beauty regime as well.
