This will help all in the group as well as ensures that everyone keeps up to the exercise schedule. With the help to exercise and the high that you get out of exercising you will experience a new found love for life and this will empower you to be more confident about yourself.
Exercise for a few minutes when you start and increase the amount of time you spend going forward. This will not only help your body physically; the more time you spend with your support group the more you stand to improve your self esteem. The longer you exercise the more strain your body will go through and this will help your body fight the urge to go back to dependence on drugs.
When you exercise you also motivate yourself to improve. Start challenging yourself and your body to do more vigorous exercises as your proceed with your program. The exercise routine will help you to stay clean and this will give you a sense of accomplishment.
If you are not able to exercise with people from your support group then exercising with friends that are drug free is also a great idea. You can learn tips from them and seek advice as well. If not, strap on your shoes and go for a run first thing in the morning to keep you charged all day long and at the end of the day to help you to rest well.
