If you wake up every morning with an itchy throat then you are suffering with an allergy. Some times it’s difficult to explain allergies and the causes for them causing irritation. In most cases the body reacts to something that is eaten, touched or inhaled and it gives rise to an allergy. If you are like me and trying to figure out what causes your allergic reactions then I wish you luck; I have been trying to figure out the triggers for years now.
One of the things that I have noticed is that I suffer from allergies at the end of winter. This is the time when I suffer with an itchy nose, throat and constant sneezing. At this time it is factors like pollen that cause the allergies.
One of the safest and simplest ways to control allergic reactions is to use an air conditioner. This way you are able to filter out the pollen and dust that may be the allergens that cause the irritation. Cover all linen during the day and keep toys like stuffed animals out of the bed room as they attract dust and pollen. If you have a carpeted bedroom ensure that you vacuum it daily as it tends to attract dust particles during the day.
If you have a nasal allergen then you will experience itching sensation the mouth especially the roof and the tongue. In order to get rid of it you need to wash your mouth regularly and rinse it regularly. Use a salt water rinse every few hours in order to clean your mouth. You must also try and avoid spicy foods that cause a runny nose. Foods like bananas, chamomile and cucumber are foods that normally give rise to allergies. If these are the cause of your distress then you need to eliminate them from your diet completely. You also need to avoid eating frozen desserts at night just before hitting the bed.
A good way to get rid of the allergens or prevent them from disrupting your daily activities is to have a hot bath to get rid of the toxins and irritants. This will help to clear the congestion in the nasal passage and in the throat. Drink plenty of fluids and also keep your self clean. Maintain strict hygiene and ensure that you wash your hand after touching foreign objects.
