How to Get a Flat Stomach

Getting a flat stomach is the hardest thing to attain; especially for women after child birth. The once perfect figure that you maintained effortlessly is now a thing of concern for you. It can be trick to get back to your figure but it is not impossible. You must make a few changes in your diet and lifestyle to get back and maintain your abdominal muscles.

The first thing you can do is to avoid foods that are high in fats. Now that you are not eating for two and are only eating for yourself, it would be best if you stop eating foods with high fat content. Switch to low fat milk, cheese, butter and ice cream. All the excess fats that you consume accumulate on your stomach and build up fat deposits making your abs look flabby. Check the labels of the foods you buy and avoid potatoes especially fries.

Avoid loading up on carbohydrates and choose fiber instead. Carbohydrates add to the fatty substances in your body. Eat brown bread and rice instead of white bread. Alcohol, sugar drinks, white rice, white bread contribute to the weight build up on your stomach.

Avoid salt in your food and drink lots of water. Salt causes your body to bloat in the stomach area. Avoiding salt will cause your stomach to bulge. Green tea helps to eliminate the toxins from the body.

Eat fruits at snack time. Fruits like strawberry and pineapple are a rich source of fiber. Either eat one serving of these fruits daily or add them to your salads and milk shakes.

Exercise that help to flatten your abs

Doing a few hula hoops will help to flatten your abs. this is the most traditional way of losing weight on your stomach as there is maximum strain on your stomach muscles.

Aerobics like running, swimming, jogging, cycling and brisk walking help to eliminate fats in your body.
