How to Get Back into Shape After Your Baby Bump

Motherhood is a gratifying experience and whilst you are basking in the glory of your new bundle of joy you also need to gear up and get into shape. This process of a change in your lifestyle and commitments can also leave you drained out, but it need not always be like that. There is a lot that you can do to change this, get in the mood and get into shape. It is important that you enrich your life with a healthy diet, plenty of exercise and lots of rest. Spend some time by yourself in order to relax and de-stress.

Taking up a dance or yoga class is always a good choice. Letting your hair down is an excellent stress buster and the music helps to perk up your mood when you are stressed out or tired. Meditation and yoga help to de-stress you mentally as well as physically and it energizes you for the joy ride of your new role.

Indulge in some touch therapy. Get your partner to massage you. It will give you an opportunity to reconnect with your partner while helping you to tone your body at the same time. Massages make your joints more flexible and also the aromatic oils that you use in your therapy can help you to get rid of stretch marks. Warm mustard oil is the best for you.

Swimming is a good activity to take up post delivery. Water helps your body to relax and regain its shape. It also helps your mind to relax.

Strolling with your baby in the park is a good way to bond with the infant as well as gives you sometime outdoors. Morning walks are good as it gives you and the child some exposure to the essential Vitamin D. It is also the least polluted time to be out. Take deep breaths when you are outdoors, the fresh air and the smell of the mud will enhance the quality of your walk. It will also energize you and keep you fit and active for the rest of your day.
