How to Get Flawless Glowing Skin
July 29, 2009
Perfect looking skin without any blemishes or scars is the dream of most people. Everyday, thousands of people all over the world spend a lot of money on skin care products, in the hope that soon their skin will look perfect, like that of a famous face on a magazine cover. Well, that face looks so perfect because of computer softwares that help you erase all imperfections and it’s almost impossible to get skin that looks exactly like that.
What’s important is to eat healthy and use good quality products that will help you get healthy skin. Don’t buy something just because it worked wonders for you friend. Each of us has different skin types and what worked for someone else might actually be no good for you.
Always test the product before buying the large economical size. Ask the sales staff if they have sample sizes or buy the smallest size, use this for a few days to see how it reacts with your skin.
Don’t believe everything that the commercials tell you. A good product doesn’t necessarily have to be the latest, most expensive one in the market. A product that suits your skin is the best one.
It’s important not to use too many products on your skin. This actually causes more damage. What’s important is to follow a simple cleansing, exfoliating & moisturizing routine everyday.
Change your products as per weather conditions. If the weather is cold and dry, use products which have better moisturizing qualities. Similarly, if it is humid, use products that are fresh and light.
For a healthy glow on skin, what you eat is actually more important than what you apply on it. Eating well balanced meals which are not too oily and have less sugar are very important for good skin. Eat salads, fruits and raw vegetables everyday, these provide you with fiber that help in cleansing your system. Include lean meats and fish for protein.
Stop smoking! It simply ruins everything. Limit your alcohol intake.
Drinking too much coffee also dehydrates you and this affects the health of your skin. It could also be the cause of breakouts.
Drink green tea instead and of course, lots of water. It works wonders for you.
Check with your doctor if it’s ok to take vitamin A and E supplements, as these are good for skin. Alternately, include foods that are rich in these nutrients.
