How to Get Relief from Migraines with Home Remedies
A migraine is more than just a headache. The pain causes you to feel weak and sick and causes severe uneasiness. If your migraine attacks are related to your menstruation cycle then chances are you will have an attack around the same time you suffer from PMS. In this case Vervain tea is a good remedy. It relieves the pain of premenstrual migraine attacks. Add basil oil to boiling water and inhale it when you feel the onset of the attack. Alternatively you could add basil to a tea or just chew on a few leaves to get rid of the attack. Eucalyptus oil could also be used as a preventive measure. Just dab a few drops of the oil onto your sinus area and you will be able to hunt away the headaches.
The aromatic flavor of lemon can help to relieve the headaches and prevent a prolonged attack. Grind lemon rind and make it into a paste and apply it to the forehead. The scent of the lemon will fade your headache away.
A hot and cold therapy simultaneously will help you to reduce the impact of the headache. Immerse your feet in hot water and at the same time put an ice pack on your head. This contrast of heat and cold will help to get rid of the headache almost instantly.
