Oily skin is prone to blackheads. Blackheads are formed out of the oils that have dried up in the open pores of your skin. They become like dead skin and clog your pores. If not taken care off they grow deep into your skin and block your pores and cause pimples and zits. This causes a lot of itching and irritation on the skin. Getting rid of these blackheads is not impossible. It can be done with ease in the comfort of your home.
To start off you need to steam your face regularly. Add a few drops of lavender oil to the water and then steam your ace for approximately 8 minutes. After steaming your face wash it with cold water immediately to close your pores.
Now use an exfoliating cream with a walnut, apricot or almond base and massage your face. Do this for 15 minutes. If the cream dries then either add some more to your face or ad a few drops of water. Massage in circular motions to have maximum impact. After you have done this wash your face with cold water again and tap it dry with a towel. Do not exert too much pressure on your skin while massaging your face as you may tear your tender skin. Be extremely cautious in the area under your eyes. The skin is extremely delicate in this area.
Use a face mask on your face and neck. Choose one that is clay based as it soaks in the extra oils from your skin and leaves it looking fresh. Pour a few drops of rose water into the paste. The rose water enhances the results of the mask. Wash your face after 15 minutes or immediately after the pack dries up.
Never use any metal or wooden instruments on your skin to get rid of the blackheads as this can cause an infection.
Visit a dermatologist or a skin care specialist if you think your skin needs medical attention.
