Your pregnancy is the best time of your life. It is a time for joy and celebration; yet it brings its fair share of issues along. Some women have a painless pregnancy; while others are on bed rest for the entire term of their pregnancy. One of the most common issues that women face during the pregnancy is constipation. This leads to piles or hemorrhoids. These can be painful and even bleed from time to time. There are several topical based creams that you can use to ease the pain; however you must be careful of the side effects that they may bring about. Check with your doctor before using anything.

It is important to take care of the bacteria and prevent them from infecting the area. To take care of this you must wash yourself well after every bowel movement. Use warm water for best results as it helps to take care of the bacteria and prevent the spread of it.

In order to prevent piles you must also take care to eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. You need to ensure that there are no toxins in your system and hence water helps. Also eating a lot of unprocessed foods is extremely healthy. Raw foods are higher in nutrients and minerals and cooking them reduces the amount of minerals and vitamins. You must also make sure that the food you eat is not rich in sodium or sugar. These affect the natural balance of food. Eat foods that are rich in protein and fiber. Fiber is also helpful in ensuring regular bowel movements.

You can choose to use either a cold or hot compress. This helps to ease the pain. Also a witch hazel compress works the best for those who are in distress as a result of the pain. If you experience itching and pain then you must draw yourself a warm bath and soak in the water for a few minutes. The water will help to ease the distress.

Avoid wearing tight clothes during your pregnancy and make sure that you switch to maternity clothing as soon as possible. This helps to take care of any suffocation that your skin may be struggling with.
