How to Help Soothe Muscle Cramps Instantly

Muscle cramps is just that annoying knot that makes it impossible for you to do anything instantly. It leads to tightening and shortening of the muscle. It is best to drink a lot of water to prevent those nasty muscle cramps. However when one has a muscle cramp one can help one by stretching ones calf muscles. Usually the cramp of the calf muscles occurs after over exertion and may strike suddenly in the middle of the night. One can help soothe that muscle cramp by putting ones hands against the wall and putting ones leg that is not cramped forward with the cramped leg behind you. Then lean forward and keep your heels on the floor with your toes pointing straight ahead. You will feel a stretch on the cramped calf . One should hold this position for 20 to 30 seconds and then bend the knees of the leg that is not cramped to stretch the cramp more. One is sure to be helped instantly to soothe the muscle cramp.
Another method that could help soothe the muscle cramps instantly is to keep ones cramped leg straight sitting on the floor or bed. Then one should bend the other leg so that the sole of the leg is under the knee of the leg that has a cramped muscle. Then one should lean forward at the waist so that one feels the stretch of the muscles from the back of the knees to ones buttocks at the hamstring muscle. Holding this stretch of the muscles for 20 to 30 seconds helps soothe the muscle cramp.
Give your muscle cramp that special ice massage. This is especially useful in case ones muscles are locked in contraction and just do not relax. Ice cubes can be massaged back and forth for about two to three minutes helps to reduce the pain. Placing an ice pack wrapped in a towel on the area for 20 minutes helps to soothe the pain caused by muscle cramps because it helps to slows down the pain signals going to ones brain.
One can also soothe muscle cramps by using homeopathy medicines like Magnesia Phosphorica for abdominal muscle cramps and Cuprum metallicum for hand and foot cramps. To end one can surely soothe muscle cramps by using these natural remedies at home.
