How To Help Your Eyes To Look after You

Eyes are a vital organ of our body which many of us take for granted. It’s value is only realized after we develop certain vision problems. I am sure if you take care of your eyes you will definitely help it to look after you.

Eyes are the most attractive and prominent organ of our face. It also has muscles to control it as any other part of our body. If we use it too much, or the wrong way or do not give it the rest it needs it will not be in a position to help you.

So help your eyes, so it helps you too. Have a right posture when studying, using the computer with a suitable height and distance. When reading and writing maintain a distance of 12 inches. Always read in bright light and avoid reading when it is dark. If you wear glasses make sure to check your eyes with an eye specialist at least once a year. Wear good sunglasses during the summer and make sure they have ultraviolet protection.

Never use chemicals or take pointed instruments near the eyes. They could lead to permanent damage or even loss of sight. You could help your eyes by having regular vision tests to make detection of eye diseases easy. Then you can look after yourself by helping the doctor attend to it promptly and avoiding further damage. Since your eyes is a very delicate organ take care to check the expiry date of drops or medicines that are to be put in it. This would definitely help your eyes to look after you better.

Have a very balanced diet to help your eyes sparkle with health. Having a lot of Vitamin A like milk, curds, carrots, papaya, tomato, beetroot and all things red or orange would help you to look after yourself by caring for your eyes.

Do eye exercises like blinking your eyes every 20 seconds helps to lubricate your eyes and also helps relieve tension. You could also do the up and down movement of your eyes like looking at the ceiling and down at the floor several times. This could help your eyes. Try to do sideways movement of your eyes and repeat this action about 15 to 20 times each. This could be followed by circular movements of the eye balls in clockwise and anti clockwise direction. Make sure you look after you and your family well.

Help your eyes have a relaxing spa, by allowing your eyes to relax every few minutes by closing them with your hands and remaining calm. You could look after yourself by giving your eye that warm treatment by rubbing both your hands together and closing your eyes in the form of a cup without any gap. I am sure it would help your eyes to feel it is loved for all it does to you. Remove it and feel that you have been looked after well. Just enjoy that cool refreshing feeling by splashing water on your eyes or give it those hot and cool compresses.

To sum up, your eyes would definitely feel you care for it and will be all glad to remain good to look after you and your visual needs.
