
If you are looking at getting more energetic than you are right now, then your main goal is to increase your metabolism. Work, family, peers and study can drain you out of every ounce of energy that you have. There are times when we all feel that24 hours of the day are not enough to complete all our day to day activities. All these things snatch our energy from us.
In order to be energetic through out the day you need to have a good night’s sleep. While experts recommend 7 to 8 hours of undisturbed sleep, even 5 hours of stress free sleep while keep you energized through out the day. Get rid of any disturbances that may break your sleep. Light scented candles in your room and you will wake up refreshed.
When you wake up; drink a glass of warm water with a lemon rind and some honey. This should be the first thing you do daily. The water helps to wake you up while the lemon and honey act to stimulate your senses.
When you begin to feel drained out of your energy, stretch your limbs and yawn as many times as you can. Wash your face with ice cold water.
You must drink 8 glasses of water daily. If your body shows signs of dehydration, then eat a fruit like watermelon or cucumbers which are rich sources of water.
Eat healthy meals per day. Avoid heavy dinners as they keep you tossing and turning through the night. Spicy foods are an absolute no before you sleep. Drink a glass of warm milk before you hit the sack.
Foods that are high sources of omega 3 fatty acids are extremely important in your diet if you are interested in boosting your energy levels. You can gain these nutrients from fish, nuts and avocadoes.
Avoid junk foods as they increase your cholesterol and add unhealthy fats to your body. These fats do nothing but create havoc in your system and add pounds to your hips, thighs and waistline.
Remember, increasing your energy levels will increase your poductively automatically.
