How to Keep Away from Heart Ailments

Advices flow everywhere! Whether you seek or not, people tend to advice on whatever reasons. At the end of the day, this article would also end up as an advice but at least you won’t find this one preachy.

We are busy and exhausted in our daily routine-type activities. We don’t get that much time to take care of ourselves. It is said that healthy heart is the key to long life. We know that very well but very rarely we try to keep it healthy. To cut the long story short, here we are providing some simple means to maintain healthy heart, without hampering our day-to-day activities.

The Food
Firstly, let’s take on the food habits. How about having a healthy diet that is rich in beta-carotenes? Sound confusing? Not actually, it is quite simple. Just add cabbage, sweet potatoes, apricots, leafy green vegetables, carrots, etc to your menu. Increase the consumption of fruits, grains, beans, fish, yogurt and seeds.

Try to push garlic into your diet. Garlic has natural ingredients to lower blood pressure. It is also effective in reducing stroke-possibilities, reinforce heart action and lessen cholesterol and phospholipids.

Replace that milk-coffee with lemon balm tea. It is equally energetic and good for heart. Do you like wine after dinner? You love it! Isn’t it? It is wonderful for our heart if we take a glass of white wine after soaking some fresh lemon balm tea in it for about an hour.

The Exercise
Whether you like it or not, there is actually no alternative to exercise. Just about half-an-hour of normal exercise helps our heart to breathe with joy. On a serious note, regular exercise greatly controls cholesterol and blood pressure. It also helps in keeping the weight down as being overweight is disastrous for heart. Just few freehand exercises, swimming, jogging and most importantly walking help us to stay fit and healthy.

No Smoking
I know how the smokers will hate me for this. I am ready to bear your ‘hate’, but friends it is ‘THE’ most essential way to maintain healthy heart. It reduces the chances of cancer, emphysema and other respiratory diseases. Say no to smoking. It’s my request.

Induce these small things into your daily life. This is just precaution and maintenance, which is of no use after the heart is lethally damaged. Don’t let that ever happen. Take initiative today and lead a healthy life.
