How To Keep Joints Healthy

The human body has number of joints which holds bones of the body at various points. Healthy joints are needed for proper body functions and movement. Knowing facts about the joints can help you in taking better care of it. Proper care of joints can ensure less bone problems in advancing age. Having early knowledge about joint related problems will help you in dealing with them in a planned manner.

Common joint disorders include spasm, sprain, arthritis, myasthenia gravis and straining of joints and muscles around them. Arthritis is a problem where joints become weak due to deficiency of calcium and other problems in the body. In myasthenia gravis, you feel tired due to detachment of muscles from nerves. There is also difficulty in breathing during this problem. Other joint problems generally occur due to excessive sport activities, improper sitting and walking habits and hectic work schedules.

The problems of joints cannot be eradicated completely. But you can minimize their incidences by taking some precautions and accepting healthy lifestyle as a habit. Yoga, meditation and exercises should be done regularly. Eat food rich in calcium and vitamin D. For sport professionals, it is important to take precautions during rigorous sport schedule.

Problem of obesity act as a trigger for osteoporosis and arthritis. Therefore, such measures should be taken to reduce obesity. Alternate source of medicines like acupressure are beneficial in comforting body muscles and joints. Giving massage to the whole body at regular interval helps in relaxing the body. Massage can be helpful, if a person is suffering from acute joint pain.

Always wear comfortable foot wear. Proper foot wears are especially useful for healthy ankle joints. Sitting and walking posture should be straight. You should not sit at one place for more than 30 minutes. Regular breaks should be taken.
