You face and your neck is one package and you need to care for both equally. Just as you spend hours in font of the mirror caring for your face; you need to do the same with your neck else you will notice the skin on it beginning to sag. In order to keep the skin on your neck healthy and youthful there are a few exercises and tips that you can try in the comfort of your home.
You must avoid stretching the skin on your neck. Sitting with your face down or in a posture that does not compliment your physique will lead to your skin sagging before it needs to. Remember that when you stand or sit you need to hold your head high and avoid slouching. A good posture will keep your neck muscles from straining and make you look more youthful and confident.
Care for your neck the same way you care for your face. Use the same creams and lotions on your neck as you do on your face. The treatments will ensure that your skin is well cared for and prevent the formation of wrinkles or sagging skin. If you use a face mask then apply it on your neck as well. You must also massage your neck regularly.
Stretch the muscles and skin on your neck. This is an easy exercise; when you stand or sit stretch you head from the centre to the left and hold the position for 30 seconds. Then move back to the original position and move from the centre to the right. Again hold the position for 30 seconds. Do 3 sets of this exercise 3 times a day. You can also do this after massaging your neck with rich moisturizing lotion. You can also move your head in circular motions clock wise and then anti clock wise. Do 2 sets of this twice a day. Avoid doing this exercise before you leave the house or when you are in the car as it may make you feel dizzy.
In order to keep the skin on your neck well moisturized you can use a lotion or milk or butter to massage the area. These home remedies may seem unusual but they reap better results than any chemically infused products that you can but over the counter.
