Drinking plenty of water and juices nourishes your body and skin. By doing so you hydrate your skin and flush out the toxins from your body. Eat a well balanced diet with 3 servings of vegetables and 4 servings of fruits to keep your skin healthy and free of acne and zits.

Fruits will play an important role in reducing the blemishes from your face. If you have stale strawberries that are not good to eat anymore then rub them all over your skin. The juices of the berry will penetrate your skin and help to eliminate the blemishes. Leave the juices on for 20 minutes and then wash it with cold water. The same can be done with bananas. These fruits work as natural bleach on your skin and since they are fresh products there is no fear of chemicals that will harm your skin.

Grate a potato and add a spoon of honey and a few drops of lemon juice. Place this mixture all over your face and neck. Shut you eyes and rest for 20 minutes. The honey will act to reduce the blemishes while the potato and lemon will heal the skin and prevent further occurrence of zits and acne.

If your skin is dry then use olive oil or almond oil to clean your skin. Do not use water and soaps as they tend to dry your skin of the natural oils.
