How to Lighten your Discolored Under Arms

Dark underarms are a definite turn off. It prevents you from wearing sleeveless clothes and takes away your freedom to show of your arms. It is normally caused by shaving the area or poor quality deodorants. Age, hormonal changes, pregnancy and genes can also play a vital role in the discoloration. It can cause a lot of embarrassment. Fortunately, there are several things you can do in the comfort of your home to get rid of the problem. Most of the products that you need are available in your kitchen and hence there is minimum investment as well.

Lime is a natural bleach and hence can be used. Slit a lime into 2 pieces and spread the juice onto the area that needs to be lightened. Do this twice a day for a month and you will notice visibly lighter skin under your arms.

Using a bleaching cream will also help. However these contain chemicals and some of them may be harmful if you use hem too often.

Avoid shaving your under arms area and opt for waxing or sugar procedures to remove unwanted hair. Waxing helps to eliminate the hair from the area as well as removes the dead skin cells. Waxing should be done by a professional to avoid rupturing your skin that may lead to bleeding.

Make a paste mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Apply the paste to your under arms twice a day for a few days and you will notice the change in the discoloration of the skin.

If the discoloration is extremely troublesome then visit a laser therapy centre. Here you can look at the different options available to you to take care of the issue. Before you go in for any procedure though, consult with your health care practitioner about the pros and cons based on your health. Research the procedure you are interested in before you go ahead with the procedure.
