The fat on your hips and thighs is probably a case of cellulite. This can be taken care of with proper diet and exercise. A dedicated exercise routine with a strict diet will help you to be successful in reducing the fat from your thighs and hips with ease.

Diet tips to lose the weight

Your diet needs to be devoid of fats and sugars. These are harmful to your health and they add excess unwanted fats to your body, mostly on your hips. To take care of this one must avoid eating junk food and foods that are fried. Choose to eat your favorite foods in healthier preparations like baked and grilled or sautéed versions.

These are low fat preparations of foods that taste good and are full of nutrition. Eat plenty of raw foods, fruits and vegetables compliment your goal to lose weight. Drink plenty of water and make sure that you are getting adequate amount of liquids in your diet. The best way to do this is to ensure that the food you eat is high in water content. Keep dairy product consumption minimal and make sure that you are eating the low fat versions of food. Also make sure that you are eating in moderation, overeating or binging can cause a lot of stress on your body and can lead to heart related disorders and cardiac arrests.

Exercise tips to lose weight

The best exercise for you would be to start brisk walking or jogging. This helps to build stamina while it also ensures that the fat on your body is toned down. With each step that you take you will feel your muscles contracting and releasing the fats from the area. Walking helps you to burn approximately 4 calories per minute. This means that walking for 30 minutes will suffice for the day. Jogging will obviously have more benefits.

In order to tone the muscles on your hips and thighs you must start doing squats. These are simple exercises that help to tone your body and reduce formation of fat. Start in the standing position and then slowly bend your knees till you are in the sitting position. Wait for 5 seconds and then straighten up. Do a few sets of the exercise and you will feel your body toning and taking up the desired shape.
