
Most of us lead lives where finding time to exercise is almost impossible. Our long work days clubbed with long commutes to and fro to the office eats up into our days and we find little time to relax let alone there being any time to exercise. Since we spend most of the day at the workplace it we can zero down on the fact that it is at this place that we tens to add on the extra pounds. How you may wonder. Well, think about all the snack times and the pot lunches that you indulge in, the number of times a week you eat out and the number of calories that you are gaining with all those soda and colas you are drinking at the cafeteria.
In order to maintain a healthy weight at the office you must take away all temptations. Pack a healthy lunch, dinner leftovers make a great lunch ass well. This keeps you in shape as well as you are aware of the food that you are eating and the calories that you are consuming daily.
It’s not a bad idea to carry a few healthy snacks as well. Carry at least 2 fruits; one to snack on the bus while you are on your way to work the other for after lunch to avoid you levitating towards the dessert counter. Another option for healthy snacks would be dried fruits, pop corn and puffed rice. These are healthy options that keep your body satisfied and fit at the same time.
At lunch time take a walk around the office building or just stretch at your desk itself. It helps to beat any signs of lethargy and helps to burn a few calories that you have put on during the meal. Walking to and from the office daily is not a bad idea either especially if you are close to home. An evening walk is better as you are more relaxed as compared to the morning where you are stressed out about not being late to complete the million tasks that you have on hand.
