How to Overcome Chronic Depression Naturally and with Ease

If you are feeling depressed then you are not alone. Studies have proved that more than a million people suffer from chronic depression. It is one of the most common emotional disorders and it takes very little to upset a person and get him depressed. Fortunately there are many ways to help yourself and your loved ones out of this sort of feeling.

The mental stress that we go through on a daily basis due to our fast paced lives is one of the most common reasons why we suffer from depression. If you conclude that this is one of the reasons that you are depressed then you need to slow down in your life. If the stress at work is the cause of you being depressed then you must take a vacation or reduce the amount of work that you are involved in. Delegate as much work as you can.

Apples work miraculously to get rid of depression. If you are feeling stressed out; bite into an apple. It’s a healthy snack and it will help to lift your depression. The chemicals present in the fruit will react with your body to release feel good hormones that will keep you happy. Eating the fruit with milk and honey will help you to have a control over your mood as well as will refresh your nerves and energize you.

Another sure way to treat depression is to eat Cashew nuts. The Vitamin B in the nuts will stimulate your nervous system and increase your appetite. This will keep you energetic and happy.

Rose water is another remedy that helps you to control your mood swings. Rose water is commercially available; however you can prepare it at home by boiling a few rose petals in water. Drink this instead of your cup of tea to help to feel better. You can also add rose essence or oil in your bath water to elevate your moods.

A great way to prevent getting depressed is to avoid drinking any drinks that are caffeine based. You must also ensure that you eat your meals on time. Eat plenty of whole grains and green vegetables
