Even walking too much can damage your body and hence it is best to stay in bed and relax. Do not exercise until your doctor gives you a go ahead to do so.
There is no medication that you can take to cure this condition as it is a viral infection. You can take antibiotic medications to reduce the pain caused by the swollen glands or the sore throat; however your body needs to fight the infection. In order to do this you need to have a strong immune system. Do not try to take any over the counter drugs as they may have adverse effects on your body.
