People buy room fresheners to bring the feel of freshness inside the rooms. Inhaling the soothing perfume of these room fresheners makes us feel good and relaxed. But are you aware that many popular air fresheners are made by combining harmful chemicals? Some of these air fresheners cause damage to eyes and skin.
Severe usage of these products can cause serious damage to the smelling senses and lead to many harmful diseases. Just spraying the room fresheners actually covers the bad smell or odor. This is not healthy as you are inhaling germs unknowingly. Keep your rooms clean and tidy and then use fresheners. Opting for homemade air fresheners makes a great idea. Preparing natural room fresheners is not very tough; here are few important tips on that.
Search your kitchen
This might sound odd to you, but the fact is that our kitchen consists of various spices and herbs, which are actually efficient as air fresheners. Generally, we keep stocks of ginger, clove, cinnamon, basil, rosemary, etc. Combine these ingredients or just take the ones you like and mix them. Add little bit of almond into it and you are ready with a fabulous natural air freshener. Dab few cotton balls into the solution and place them in the corners of your rooms.
Deodorizing Effect
Have you heard about aromatherapy? There are several essential oils that are used for numerous natural treatments and healing procedures. With certain essential oils like lemon, eucalyptus and bergamot; you can also prepare a deodorizing room spray. Make a solution by mixing the following essential oils in the given proportion- two drops of lemon, one drop of eucalyptus and six drops of bergamot. This works brilliantly.
Stress-Fight
Natural room fresheners can act effectively to reduce stress. For that you can to prepare a mixture of essential oils like clary sage, lavender and rose. Add four drops of lavender oil and mix it with two drops of clary sage and three drops of rose oils. Spray the perfume and feel relaxed.
Vinegar, baking soda, orange and ylang ylang are also helpful for preparing natural room freshener. Apart from doing all this things, you must keep the windows and doors open to allow sufficient air and sunlight into your home. It is both cheapest and safest.
