The first thing a person notices after your face is your hands; therefore good upkeep of them is imperative. You do not need to have polished manicured nails all the time, what you do need are a pair of hands that are clean, well moisturized and soft. If you have cuticles that are dry and peeling it can be a sign of one of two things – either you have poor hygiene or you are suffering from a certain ailment. Either way; it is important that you take care of the situation and keep your hands well groomed, it doesn’t take too much effort.

When you are having a bath, soak your hands especially your finger tips in hot water. This helps to take care of any dirt and grime that may be logged between your nails and finger tips, takes care of any debris that is on your hands as well as helps to soften your skin.

After this gently exfoliate your hands with a cream scrub or with sugar crystals. Massage the paste onto your hands for a few minutes and then wash off. Exfoliating this way will eliminate all dead skin cells.

Use an orange stick to push back your cuticles. Avoid using any other wooden or metal instruments on your cuticles as they may cause an infection.

If you have any extra sin visible, then cut them off with a pair of scissors. Then soak a cotton ball in alcohol and place the cotton balls on your finger nails. This helps to cure and heal any open skin that may have torn off when you were pushing back your cuticles.

Use a cuticle cream as it helps to keep it soft and avoids peeling. The cream is good for your hands and feet as well.

At night, use a good moisturizing lotion and wear gloves to seal the moisture in.
