How to Reduce Weight with What you Eat

Mere exercise does not help to reduce weight and starving yourself instead of eating well will only cause a breakdown in your system. In order to loose weight one needs to club good eating with an exercise routine. There are a few healthy foods that can help you to lose weight as well as have you staying healthy and fit.

As a rule you need to eat foods that are low in fat and high in their water content. This helps you to retain the water levels in your body and detoxifies your system. Foods that are a high source of fiber and protein are those that help you to build muscles and prevent binging as well as include nutrients that help to increase your immunity and prevent ailments.

Eggs are a power house of protein. They are great for those who are on a diet, though you would need to eat only whites of the egg. Eggs in the morning are a great way to start your day.

Oats are another great breakfast option as they fill you up and are slow to digest hence they keep you full for most part of the day.

If you are trying to lose weight then red and yellow lentils are a great help. They are high in protein and fiber and prevent you from gaining fats. They are available in several forms and can be made into soups and added to your favorite food preparations. Add lentils to salads and pastas or make a healthy soup makes a complete meal.

We are all aware of the health benefits of milk, but skimmed milk is even better as it gives you all the benefits minus the fats. From protecting your bones and teeth and making them stronger to helping to increase your calcium intake, skimmed milk helps to watch your weight.

The juice of the tomato is tangy and it offers to a variety of nutrients and minerals from phosphorus to licopene. Since it has high water content, it helps you to increase the water content in your body and keeps you hydrated.

Bean sprouts are a great way to lose weight. They are full of nutrition and they make healthy meal companions. Stem them or stir fry or add them to soups and salads as you please.

Yogurt is another healthy food. Make it fresh rather than buying store bought variants that are full of refined sugar. Add your favorite fruits and dry fruits to avoid adding sugar to the dessert or breakfast option.

Green tea is a healthy option to your traditional teas and coffees. It is a rich source of anti oxidants and thus helps to relieve stress and promotes health.

Olive oil is the best oil for consumption. It is packed with omega 3 fatty acids that are good for your heart and the oil has a great absorption property and hence you require only small amounts of it in food preparations compared to other oils.
