How to Refresh your Skin in the Summer Months
Summer can be a fun time when you lay around on the beach and do virtually nothing. It can be a time when you flaunt your best assets or a time when you are burdened with bad skin and constant breakouts. This is particularly true if you have oily skin. At a time when you need to bare it all you can’t be running around trying to fix the flaws on your face. It is best to follow a few easy steps to help your skin go a long way.
Remember summer is a time when you need to keep your skin well hydrated, so drinking a few extra glasses of water won’t harm you. Always keep a bottle of water by your side and keep sipping on it. The heat will tempt you to levitate towards a bubbly fizzy drink but you must remember that these drinks cause you more harm than you can imagine. If you have oily skin then you must drink atleast 4 extra glasses of water in the day to keep your skin refreshed.
Wash your face every 3 to 4 hours to get rid of the dirt and pollution that stick onto your skin. In the case of oily skin, the extra secretion of oil makes your face look dull and hence washing your face regularly helps to keep the oils off your face and keeps it looking bright and healthy.
Get a regular steam or sauna treatment for your face. During the summer, the pores on your skin tend to get blocked due to the increase in perspiration. A good steam or sauna helps to open your pores and cleanse them from deep within. The excess oils and pollution that get logged into your skin is eliminated by means of a sauna. Immediately after a steam session wash your face with cold water or rub ice cubes on your face to close the pores.
Wear plenty of sunscreen when you are out in the sun to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. This will help to prevent skin tans and premature aging.
