How to Sip Away Your Stress
Stress can be related to a multitude of factors ranging from work and family to finances and health. Whatever the reason may be; you need to find balance in your life and look at ways to reduce stress. Opting for medication in order to reduce stress should not be the first thing on your mind. You must remember that there are several alternative remedies to reduce stress and one must explore these options either independently or in conjunction with medication.
When you are stressed out you are likely to get extremely tired and exhausted even if you indulge in minimal physical activity. You are more susceptible to panic attacks and in the event of this happening the best remedy would be a glass of water. It helps you to calm down by reducing body temperature and calming your senses.
When you are stressed out you are also prone to heart burn and acidity. In this case you need to drink a glass of warm water with honey and a hint of lemon. You can also drink herbal tea. Green tea is known to be rich in anti oxidants and this helps to soothe the senses and reduce stress. One can also have an iced tea. Those that are lemon flavored will help to reduce body temperature and any dryness in the throat.
While there are several drinks that are extremely beneficial when you are stressed out there are also a few drinks that have adverse effects on your body. Any drink that is caffeine based must be avoided. These drinks cause your body to get dehydrated and in the process they increase stress. They are also the kind of drinks that keep you up all night and when you are under stress you need to get all the sleep you can. Coffee and tea must be avoided. You must also be ware of any energy drinks that you may normally drink. In addition to being caffeine based drinks they also contain Taurine and Guarana; two ingredients that are harmful to your body especially when you are under stress.
