With the amount of pressure on your diet and the amount you eat these days it would be a miracle to find food under less than 100 calories. Well think again for it is possible. The key here is to choosing the right food.

Take soup for example. It is a healthy snack for in between meal time; for that matter it can be made into an entire meal. It is a great way to fill you up and yet keep your calorie count on the lower side.

Breakfast cereal makes good snack too. Choose the sugar free versions for lower calories.

Puffed rice and air popped corn are fun snacks. They hardly add to your calories, they satisfy your need to munch and they are calorie conscious.

If you are craving a salty treat then you can indulge in your favorite chips however you need to watch the portions that you are eating. Smaller portions of not so healthy snacks are fine.

Start loving fruits. They are great snacks that satisfy your craving for sugar. They also help to add water to your body thereby increasing your hydration levels. Fruits also act as anti oxidants that help to purify your blood. They are extremely low in calories and need no cooking or processing. Avoid adding toppings and dressings to your fruit as they increase the calorie count.

Try snacking on dried fruits and nuts. They are healthy however they are high in their fat content.

Avoid a sandwich at all costs. The white bread added to the butter and the sandwich toppings will send your calorie count sky rocketing.

Denying yourself the food that you want to eat will only make you crave for more. Eat the foods that you feel like eating but measure the portions that you are eating.
