How to Tackle Menopause and the Period Before it

If you are a woman you are bound to go through the torture of menopause. It is a phase of your life where your body will go through several changes once again (after adolescence) and it will hamper a few activities in your life for a few months. Though there is no cure that will help you to avoid this phase; you will definitely be able to ease the stress that your body and mind will go through. Most people stay away from medications at this time and it is a wise choice; there are several herbal and home remedies and tricks you can try though to ease out this phase of your life.

When you are going through menopause; you body is going through hormonal changes. These changes make it difficult for your body to absorb calcium; giving rise to weakness in the joints, nausea and dizziness accompanied with general weakness. In order to combat these changes you body needs to get a healthy dose of calcium. Increase the amount of milk you drink. You can drink low fat or no fat milk but make sure that you drink a glass or two daily so that you offer your body a healthy amount of calcium. You can also add calcium through other foods. However, along with calcium you need to increase your iron intake else your body will not absorb the calcium that you offer it. You may opt to take supplements as well.

Eat fresh sprouts as often as you can. Make them a snack option so that you are getting a healthy does of vitamins as well as adding to the nutritional quotient of your meals. Sprouts help to fight the symptoms of menopause.

Carrot juice and beetroot juice are known to be great for those going through menopause. They help to purify the blood and prevent the side effects of any medications that you may be taking.

Keep your body well hydrated with water, fruit juices and vegetable juices. These help to keep your body fresh and eliminate unwanted toxins from the body. They also ensure that you stay away from unhealthy beverages and aerated drinks.

Stay away from unhealthy animal fats. If you are nearing the menopause phase then it is time to swap your vegetable cooking oil with olive oil. It is the best option for you as it requires low volumes in cooking.

It is also the time of your life where you need to incorporate exercise into your life. Walking daily will suffice if you do not have the time for a scheduled workout.
