It is commonly believed that lotions and intense creams can heal the problem. However, the fact is that cracked heels require more serious treatment. Cracked heels also occur due to lack of omega-3 fatty acid and zinc. Our feet bear the entire body-load while we stand or walk. If you don’t start taking care when the cracks are light, they might turn deep and can get infected or even bleed. Heel fissures is another name of deep cracked heels that usually takes place due to heavy dryness of the heel-skin. Try to avoid this highly painful situation.

When you notice these signs, it is better to start taking care of your feet. Cracked heels symptoms are irritated skin, red patches or peeling patches, and bleeding cracks. The later one is however not a symptom, it is rather the worst after-effect of cracked heels.
Treatments
Cracked heels treatment can be done by using natural extracts. It is less expensive and provides good result. Though, it is not a cent-percent guaranteed solution to cure cracked heels. If the cracks are worse, consulting doctor is always recommended. Some of the easiest remedies of cracked heels are as follows:
-Take a ripe banana and remove the skin. Apply the flesh of banana to the affected area and leave on for some ten minutes. After that, wash your feet and heels thoroughly.
-Wash your feet and clean the cracked areas properly. Let it dry and then put a deep coat of hydrogenated vegetable oil. Put on socks after applying the coat and go to the bed. It works within few days.
-Soak your feet in a solution of warm water and shampoo. Add pinch of salt and keep soaking for some fifteen minutes. After that, dry the feet and apply moisturizer.
-Apply lemon juice on the cracked area and leave for about ten minutes. Continuous repetition of the process can bring fruitful result. Mixture of rosewater and glycerin is also helpful.
