Ear care is very important as it is directly related to one of our major senses – sound. If we do not take proper care, then the consequence can lead to severe ear infections. Ear can get infected in three of its parts, which are outer, middle and inner portions.

Generally, ear infection treatment is done using antibiotics. In United States, almost 10 million people with infected ear are treated with antibiotics and half of these patients are kids. American Academy Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Physicians have strongly suggested not using antibiotics as a treatment, especially for kids. Antibiotics can cause several side-effects and can turn the situation into worse.

Home Remedy
If the infection is mild, it can be treated at home. Incase you are suffering from internal ear infection, take fresh garlic and cut into two pieces. Turn on the oven on low heat and let the garlic to boil in a pot. Put some olive oil and cover the pot. Leave it for about an hour and take it out. Strain the solution very well and pour it in a jar. Cover the jar and put it in the refrigerator. Now, take a metal spoon and pour the solution. Warm it on mild heat and use a dropper to put the solution into ear passage. Cover the ear-mouth with a cotton ball. If you have infection in the outer portion of the ear, use juice of mango leaves. Warm the juice on a mild temperature and use it as ear drops.

Proper Cleaning
You must clean your ear properly and regularly. You must remember that safety is the utmost priority. Use nice and soft ear buds. At the inner portions of the ear, mucus builds up. This can hamper ear pressure and create blockage. Thus, proper cleaning is very essential. You can also clear your ear with your little finger. It helps to remove the dried and excess wax on the walls of middle ear. Proper cleansing always helps to prevent infection. However, if you notice some serious symptoms; visit doctor immediately.
