Genital warts are common infections that form in the genital area of both male and female. This is caused by a virus called HPV or Human Papilloma Virus. If a person is affected with genital warts, he or she will experience small flesh-colored growths in the anus or internal or outer portion of penis/vagina.

The symptoms of genital warts take a long period to become visible. Even if the body is growing the problem, it would become visible after a long period. This period can even take as long as six months. When the symptoms become visible, you will notice certain growths. You will feel moisture in the surrounding areas of the growths. Men will particularly feel itching in the adjoining the area of anus, scrotum, penis-base or penis. Women also feel the same itching sensation around the anus, inner vagina, vulva or cervix.

When you notice genital warts, you must take proper steps to stop it action immediately. Stop having sexual intercourse right away. Any form of skin contact during sexual course or foreplay can result in the transfer of HPV virus to your partner. It is highly suggested to stop having sex until the genital warts get cured completely.
