If your skin is irritated; it is a sign that it is suffering from a deficiency of nutrients and minerals. The irritation may also be due to sun exposure or rashes due to allergies. Adequate nutritious foods and topical treatments will help to resolve the irritation. You can get the adequate nutrients from leafy vegetables, meats, nuts and fruits. You must also use topical treatments like Vitamin A, E and C for immediate relief.
The first thing you need to do is to determine the cause of the skin irritation. If you have started using a new soap, powder, perfume or detergent then that may be the cause of the irritation. If the skin is red then you must soak a wash cloth in cold water and wrap it around the affected area. The cold water will help to ease the irritation. You can also rub the area gently with ice cubes.
Oatmeal is very soothing. Add a cup of it to your bath water and soak in it for a few minutes. Use Aloe Vera gel on the affected area after your bath. The plant extract will add moisture to your skin and soothe the skin.
